Ron Lindig : InternMost of my life was spent running away from God. When I was young I lived with drug-dealer parents, and after the inevitable collapse of my close family, my very religious grandparents adopted me. For a long time I blamed God for my lack of traditional family, but God never gave up on me.
By the time I began attending classes at UNC Charlotte I had reached my lowest spiritual point, but a friend constantly reminded me of God and kept inviting me to attend Impact. Finally, I agreed, and God used Impact to change my life. I have been involved with Impact as a student for two years, and now I have the privilege to work as an intern and help college students connect with God and with others.
Chelsea Dollar : InternI was raised in the church and was always very involved in ministry so naturally when I came to school I immediately found a ministry to get plugged into. After two years of being involved in that ministry I knew that God was calling me away from it. Then I found Impact, which I have been involved with for a little over two years now. I can’t even begin to explain what God is doing in this ministry. All I know is that I feel very blessed to be a part of it.
I have to say that this internship is quite a leap of faith for me. It was definitely never in my plans. But as I am continually learning, God’s plans are way cooler anyway. All the same, I am really excited to be able to be used by God in some really cool ways this year. I couldn’t think of a better way to spend my senior year.
This year the way I plan to spend my time is two-fold: in girls ministry and with freshmen. The girls in our ministry are incredibly excited about pursuing God, which naturally means Satan is bound to come attack them. My goal, through God’s leading, is to provide mostly encouragement and sometimes a little guidance. Secondly, I believe that the freshmen are the key to changing this campus for God’s glory. My desire is to get them plugged in, make sure they know they are loved, and that God has a really cool purpose for them.
Please pray with me that God would be made known and glorified and that I would remain His humble servant.

I'm from a tiny little town in Indiana called Cayuga (Kay-you-guh... for future reference). When I was nine years old I decided that I wanted to go into the ministry. Over the years the TYPE of ministry changed but I kept saying I wanted to be a minister. At the end of high school I finally decided that I wanted to be a youth minister and went to Lincoln Christian College to pursue that goal. After being there for a semester I decided that wasn't exactly my cup of tea and I switched to worship ministry. After being in this for a few years I started feeling like I wasn't exactly sure what I would do with this degree once I left school. I started thinking back on my experiences and remembered when my brother was in college and the campus ministry he was involved in at Indiana State University. My brother was an elementary education major and the ministry had such an impact on him that he decided he wanted to be a youth minister and that's exactly what he did when he graduated.
Seeing how that ministry affected my brother, I decided that I wanted to go into campus ministry. Now that the decision was made, I had no idea how to go about that. After a while I got connected with Justin and Impact ministries and later decided that I wanted to come down to North Carolina and do an internship with Impact Ministries. I packed up pretty much my entire life, loaded everything into a trailer, drove 742 LOOOOOOONG miles and here I am!
Kristen Craig: InternHello!!! I am Kristen Craig. I am a graduate from UNC Charlotte with a degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in International Studies. I was born 30 minutes south of the university in Indian Trail, NC an dattended Sun Valley High School. My parents are Mike and Annette Craig and are responsible for me and my brother Wesley, who is two years younger than me. This is my second year of internship. I was prepared to teach in a middle school in Fayetteville, NC when God told me to stay in Charlotte and work with Impact. I told God that I would follow Him no matter what and here am I... I am excited to begin this year. I know that God will use me in huge ways this year to change lives and help others grow closer to Him. I only hope to remain filled up by Christ and to overflow his love and mercy.
